MARSTEX 2000 is a high performance ready to use, cold applied, high build liquid waterproofing membrane based on polymer modified bitumen emulsion. MARSTEX 2000 forms a seamless, highly elastic and durable film that adheres well to most of the common substrates e.g. concrete, cement blocks, wood, existing roof felts. MARSTEX 2000 is highly resistant to chlorides and sulphates commonly present in the soil.
Waterproofing of concrete and block foundations, retaining walls, basements and wet areas such as kitchen, toilet floors and balconies.

Resistant to temperatures from -20 °C to +120 °C.
Easy to use.
Non-flammable and Non-toxic.
Applicable on damp surfaces.
Resistant to chlorides & sulphates usually present in the soil.
Protection of buildings against Ground water :
As per BS 102 Code of practice.
Curing membrane: ASTM C 309 :
1998 ASTM D 2939
All surfaces should be sound, clean and free of contaminants. Absorbent surfaces e.g. concrete should preferably be dampened with water. In kitchens, toilets and other wet areas all the openings should be properly sealed. On all weak points such as_ cracks or around the pipes use a woven fibreglass mesh as reinforcement between the two coats of MARSTEX 2000.
MARSTEX 2000 can be applied by brush, roller or squeegee. Hot, dry or very porous substrate should be dampened with clean water prior to application of MARSTEX 2000. When two or more coats are required, ensure that the preceding coat is fully dry before applying the successive coat, which should be applied at right angle to proceeding coat. MARSTEX 2000 also acts as a curing membrane; hence it may be applied to fresh concrete immediately after the removal of formwork, eliminating the need of conventional curing with water. Since it gives a permanent black finish MARSTEX 2000 is recommended as curing membrane only for surfaces which have no aesthetic value such as sub-structures of buildings.
Caution: Should not be used as curing membrane on surfaces to be painted.
For damp proofing/vapour barrier :
Apply two coats @ 250-300 grams/m'/coat
Waterproofing membrane: Apply two coats @ (approx) 1.0 kg/m'/coat
Curing membrane: Apply two coats @ 0.4 kg/m2/coat
